Kevin Hitchens was fishing off the RT. 50 Bridge last night around 11pm and ended up catching a 41.5-inch striper. Kevin used a 1 oz. bucktail tipped with a 5-inch pink Zoom worm.
The "Morning Star" braved rough conditions and came back with some nice tog.

The striper bite off Assateague Island is still pretty strong.
Brian Behe landed a 37 inch striper at sunset, fishing off Assateague using bunker head for bait.
David Trout caught a 36 inch striper, surfcasting off Assateague.
Rusty and Rocco Garufi caught a bunch of tog on Russell's Reef.

Charles Sitskorn landed a 25-inch flounder in the bay near 28th Street.
Charles Maxwell caught a 25.5-inch flounder in the Indian River Bay.
I heard today that the bite on Assateague Island is awesome. Surfcasters are catching A LOT of fish!

Some flounder were caught north of the RT 90 Bridge and in the bay behind Assateague near the airport.
A group of anglers came in today to have their picture taken with tog caught off the North Jetty.
Bill Snyder caught a 24-inch black drum off the North Jetty today.

First mako of the season was caught. Thomas Dane of Havertown, PA was fishing on the "Free Spool" out of the Indian River Marina, when they hooked the mako in 55-degree water at the Elephant Trunk. Mako weighed in at 125.2 lbs.
"Morning Star" arrived again with some tog.
Some flounder were caught in the Thorofare today. Nothing huge. 18 and 19 inchers.

The big news is that the big stripers have arrived off Assateague yesterday and today. A couple of 45 lb.+ fish were caught. Should be an interesting week for surfcasters.
Capt. Monty on the "Morning Star" came back with some nice tog and sea bass.

Delaware released their tautog regulations:
April 1st - May 11th - 15" minimum 3 fish
May 12th - June 30th - CLOSED SEASON
July 1st - Aug 31st - 14" minimum 10 fish
Sept. 1st - Sept. 28th - CLOSED SEASON
Sept. 29th - March 21st - 14" minimum 10 fish
I've been getting questions on the new fishing license required in Delaware. Here's the fee schedule:
Resident annual fishing license - $8.50
Non-resident annual fishing license - $20.00
7-day tourist fishing license - $12.50
Charter boat license (vessel hired on a per trip basis) - $150 for Residents/$300 Non-Resident
Head boat license (vessel hired on a per person basis) - $300 Resident/$600 Non- Resident
Recreational Boat license less than 20’- $40 - Same cost for Residents and Non-Residents.
Recreational Boat license longer than 20’- $50 - Same cost for Residents and Non-Residents.
